History
In 1999, many of the artists who went on to work for Theatre Horizon participated in an experimental writing/acting workshop and co-created a play they titled Horizons. The following year, in the summer of 2000, Theatre Horizon was founded by Matthew Decker as a theatrical outlet for young adults.

Since that time, Theatre Horizon has grown into a full, professional theatre company, providing a place for directors, actors, producers, designers, and artists of all kinds to hone their craft, exchange skills, and take risks in a supportive environment. In November 2005, Theatre Horizon incorporated as a non-profit organization.
Past productions included dramas as the Philadelphia-area premiere of The Violet Hour (2006), the critically acclaimed production of The Laramie Project (2005), Book of Days (2004), and Waiting for Lefty (2003).
Theatre Horizon also partnered with the Upper Merion Concerts Under Stars Series to bring outdoor theatre to King of Prussia. This exciting partnership resulted in the first ever full scale musical, Grease!, presented in the township gazebo performance space in the summer of 2005 and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, presented in the summer of 2006. In 2007, Theatre Horizon presented Once on This Island, the children's show The Velveteen Rabbit, and Holiday Show at the Swing Club, an original one-act musical.
