 Matthew Decker (Founder, Co -Artistic Director)
With Theatre Horizon, Matthew directed Waiting for Lefty, Book of Days, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Once on this Island. As an actor he appeared in Grease! and The Laramie Project with the company.
Matthew has assistant directed Terrence J. Nolen's productions of Assassins and A Prayer for Owen Meany at the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia. He will be returning to the Arden this spring as the Associate Producer of Our Town and to direct the 2007 -2008 Apprentice Showcase. Other directorial credits include Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World at the HERE Arts Center in New York City and Seussical and The Wizard of Oz with the Consortium for the Arts. He has also directed Anything Goes, Our Town and She Loves Me with Haverford Theatre Ensemble at Haverford High School. As an actor, Matthew has performed at Playwrights Horizon's, Caroline's Comedy Club, The People's Improv Theatre, NYU's Graduate Studies Program and the Atlantic Theatre Company Studio Theatre. As an acting teacher, he has worked with the OASIS Kids, Philadelphia Shakespeare Company and the Wilma Theater . Matthew is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he studied with the Atlantic Theatre Company. He will be directing Theatre Horizon's July productions of Really Rosie and Working.
Erin Reilly (Co-Artistic Director) With Theatre Horizon, Erin directed Grease! and appeared in last season’s The Violet Hour. As an acting and playwrighting teacher, she has worked with Philadelphia Young Playwrights, TheatreCirc, Wissahickon Arts Center, the Wilma Theater, Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival and the Lantern Theater. As a director, she has helmed over 15 productions at American Family Theater, Haverford High School, the Agnes Irwin School, and the Consortium for the Arts. As an actress, she has performed in numerous commercials and local films and at Mum Puppettheatre in A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Wizard of Oz (Barrymore Nomination - Ensemble), Whores (InterAct Theatre ), Valparaiso (Theatre Exile), A Play on Two Chairs (Inis Nua Theatre), Really Rosie (TheatreCirc), Fuchsia (Gay and Lesbian Theatre Festival), Mad Cow Musical (2003 Philly Fringe) and in readings at the Wilma and Philadelphia Theatre Company, among others. Erin received certificates in Theater from American Conservatory Theatre (San Francisco), and Theatre aux Mains Nues (Paris, France) and received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. Erin can currently be seen in Eurydice at the Wilma theatre and will be in Theatre Horizon's upcoming production of Working.
