
Get Involved - Opportunities
There are many ways you can get involved at Theatre Horizon! Each season we look for the region's finest actors (both equity and non-equity) to work on our shows, administrative and production interns to assist in our daily operations, and qualified teaching artists to work at our education programs.
We are also looking to recruit ushers/volunteers to assist at the theater/offices and there are ocassionally production and/or administrative vacancies.

Actors

Interns
We are actively seeking an administrative intern to join our dynamic staff for the spring 2012 semester. Applicants should have strong communication and teamwork skills, basic computer knowledge and a positive attitude. Internships are part-time, tailored to fit around work and school schedules, and are generally a minimum of 8 hours/week. Course credit or $150 travel stipend available.
Possible Responsibilities include:
- Research local foundations and potential grant opportunities.
- Assist with planning and executing cultivation parties and opening nights.
- Lead tours of brand new theatre space opening in late 2012.
- Assistant teach drama clubs, camps and autism outreach classes.
- Create/assemble supplies for education programs.
- Participate in production meetings.
- Assist designers as needed in the implementation of their designs.
- Read and provide dramaturgical report on potential plays for future seasons.
- Observe (and assist where needed) the rehearsal process of a professional theatre company.
- Assist with distribution of marketing and development materials.
- Pursue audience engagement opportunities in the community.
- Help setup/monitor for both equity and non-equity auditions.
- Provide house management and box office support.

Teaching Artists
We are always looking for enthusiastic, experienced, fun-loving teachers to bring drama to children's lives. We have year-round drama programs, a variety of summer drama camps, and a autism drama outreach program.

Ushers/Volunteers
Usher for one of our shows or donate your time to a special event/administration. Send an email Info@TheatreHorizon.org to become an usher or a volunteer. Ushers/volunteers are able to attend a performance for free and usually do not have to work for more than a few hours.
